Matt the Bruinator--Region 7 finals Cross Country

Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting:
The Soul that rises with us, our life's Star,
Hath had elsewhere its setting,
And cometh from Afar:
Not in entire forgetfulness,
And not in utter nakedness, . . . . . .
But trailing clouds of glory do we come
From God, who is our home. . . . . .
Thanks to the human heart by which we live,
Thanks to its tenderness, its joys, and fears,
To me the meanest flower that blows can give
Thoughts that do often lie too deep for tears.

I just read "The Great Gilly Hopkins" to my class. It has this poem in it. ...I was thinking about it today and how great it is. I wanted to share it with you and also Matt's cross country race today. He ran 2.9 miler in 15:40. He took 12th overall.
Way to go Matt and team, you ran your guts out, trailing clouds of glory.
BTW ... JV girls, boys and Varsity girls took 1st place. Matt's Varsity team took 2nd place to Timpview (boo). But they "showed up" and gave it their best.

Final, final Landscaping

Thought you'd like to see it with the lights and stuff.
